Michele Schricker, LCSW

Michele Schricker, MSW, LCSW, earned her B.A. in English Literature & Writing from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana, and her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University. She also holds a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the International Psychotherapy Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.

A practicing psychotherapist since 2003, Michele focuses on psychodynamic approaches with an emphasis on depth psychology, including Jungian and Object Relations therapies. This simply means we will look at the deeper patterns, relationships, and history that shape who you are. Michele tailors the work by blending these deeper insights with additional therapeutic strategies from DBT, CBT, and humanistic therapy.

Alongside her clinical career, Michele served for 14 years as a faculty Lecturer in the undergraduate and graduate Social Work programs at Indiana University South Bend before retiring from academia in 2026.

In her work with adults, Michele helps you soften your internal critic and build a foundation of genuine self-compassion. Together, you will examine the underlying reasons behind familiar relational patterns—like choosing emotionally distant partners or feeling overly responsible for those around you. By moving past “all-or-nothing” thinking and strengthening emotional boundaries, Michele supports you in working through anxiety, depression, grief, and loss, empowering you to honor, tolerate, and express the full range of your feelings and needs.

Our work together serves as a safe, real-time reflection space to better understand yourself. I look forward to working with you!
